He was predeceased by : his mother Margaret Erhardt (Hogan); his sisters, Kristin Erhardt and Mary Erhardt; and his parents-in-law, J. Robert Truitt and Marian Truitt (Tervo).

He is survived by : his wife Dawn Michele Truitt; his children, Nicole Erhardt, Lauren Puffer (Timothy) and Benjamin Erhardt; his grandchildren, Nora and Joey Puffer; his father Lawrence Erhardt Sr. (Nancy); his siblings, Ann Erhardt, Maureen Erhardt and Larry Erhardt Jr. (Joyce Evans); and his siblings-in-law, Diane Schmid (Don), Denise Borgman (Ron) and Dan Truitt (Susan). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the O'Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Funeral Home (3980 Cascade Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Robert of Newminster Catholic Church (6477 Ada Dr SE, Ada, MI 49301).
