It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Jean Carpenter of Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on March 16, 2026, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Fern Imeson; her husband Frank E. Carpenter; her daughter Lori Coles; and her sister Maureen Paulin. She is survived by: her father William Imeson; her daughter Stephanie (John McKay III); her son-in-law Dan Coles; her grandchildren, Rylie McKay, John McKay IV, Michelle (Ryan Erickson), Elizabeth (Alex Spinelli) and Jennifer Coles; her great grandchildren, Izabella Erickson and Iven Erickson; her siblings, Mark Imeson, Kelly (Ed Mahrenholz), Barb (Rich Seymour) and Laureen (Jim Brown); her friend Sue Alksnis; and her pet Squeaky.
