With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathlynn Joan DeGeest of Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on November 17, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Blok and Irene Blok (DeGroot); and her sister-in-law Karen Mahoney. She is survived by: her husband Mark DeGeest; her children, Tim DeGeest (Carolyn), Tom DeGeest (Kathy), Melissa Kent (Steve) and Lori Looman (Bryan); her grandchildren, Bryce Kent (Lauren Evans), Alayna Morris (Joseph), Grace DeGeest, Wade Kent, Evelyn Looman, Ava DeGeest, Isaac DeGeest, Levi Looman, Ian DeGeest, Annika DeGeest, Cassidy Looman and Eli DeGeest; and her siblings-in-law, Rosemary Byle (Ron), Larry Mahoney and Beverly VanderWall (Steve).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the West Cannon Baptist Church, 1215 Ministry (Hospitality Ministry).
