Ken Meringa Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ken Meringa of Grand Rapids, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 21, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son-in-law Kirk VanderMolen; his parents, Benjamin Meringa and Ruth Meringa; his brother-in-law Gary McCaul; and his sisters, Sharon Westra and Ruth Meringa.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette; his children, Bonnie Honderd (Kraig), Bob Meringa (Amy) and Kendra Prescher (Dan); his grandchildren, Kody Honderd, Kenzie Hecht (Chad), Kiera Troutman, Jesse Arroyo (Nicole), Keaton Honderd (Taytum), Khris Honderd, Jehrod Troutman, Aubrie VanSolkema (Wes), Drew Meringa, Caden Meringa, Blake Meringa, Jake VanderMolen, Isaiah VanderMolen (Jessica) and Luke Prescher; his great grandchildren, Selah, Luke, Leno, Sabriye, Alaya, Tucker, Majlis, Jace and Reef; his brother-in-law Jim Westra; his sister Sue Ondersma (Wayne); his sisters-in-law, Inez Potter (Jack) and Jean McCaul; and his close friends, Harvey and Darlene VanderMolen.
