He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Scripps and Marguerite Scripps; his former wives, Connie Sue Poulisse and Connie Scripps; and his son Joshua Scripps.

He is survived by: his wife Shelly Scripps; his son Matthew Scripps; his daughter-in-law Karla Scripps; his grandchildren, Steven, Mosi and Alaiea; and his brothers, Doug Scripps, Bill Scripps and Rich Scripps. He is also survived by many cousins, and many other family members and friends, along with friends.
