We announce the death of Kurt Mirandette (Grand Rapids, Michigan), who passed away on September 6, 2026, at the age of 72. Kurt will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elton Mirandette and Rosemary Mirandette; and his granddaughter Natalia Songaila. He is survived by: his siblings, Pamela Kosten (Jack), Rick Mirandette, Bruce Mirandette (Patricia) and Terri Conley (Mike); his wife Barbara; his children, Sarina Curtis (Justin), Tiffany Songaila (Jase), Logan Mirandette (Jessica), Austin Mirandette (Tere), Lexis Dejonge (Nolan) and Lacey Alvaro (Jonathan); his grandchildren, Aiden, Nika, Toran, Nadia, Griffyn Curtis, Kale, Anabel, Cora, Jules Songaila, Ezra, Atlas, Raeya, Teagan Mirandette and Haisley Mirandette; and his friend Barbie.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home (4291 Cascade Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Calvary Church (707 E Beltline Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Calvary Church's Benevolence Fund to further the work of Jesus.
