It is with sadness that the passing of Laurie McGhan of Grand Rapids, Michigan is shared. Laurie, born on December 14, 1951, passed away on September 28, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Laurie McGhan to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert; her parents, Geraldine Renberg and C. Edward Renberg; her siblings, Ann O'Toole (Michael) and Christopher Renberg; and her siblings-in-law, Christine Renberg and Michael McGhan.
She is survived by: her children, Bryan and Becky; her children-in-law, Don Farrey and Andrea McGhan; her grandchildren, Owen, Jude Farrey, Deaken, Jameson and Kendall McGhan; her siblings, Michael Renberg (Georgie), Frederick Renberg, William Renberg (Janna), Mary Meyerink (Gary), Jane Rickhoff (Joe), Paul Renberg (Kathy), Patrick Renberg (Donna) and Frank Renberg (Julia); her sister-in-law Nell Renberg; her brother Darryl; her sister-in-law Diane McGhan; and her friend Mimi Rokos. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Church (2275 Diamond Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Van Andel Institute (directed toward Lymphedema and Lymphoma research) or the Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan.
