We are sad to announce that on August 16, 2025, at the age of 84, Lee Roy Hegstrand of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Hegstrand and Elvera Hegstrand. He is survived by: his wife Linda Kozel; his children, Glen Hegstrand (Abby) and Karen Bolhuis (Scott); and his grandchildren, Zoe Hegstrand, Logan Hegstrand, Anders Hegstrand, Leah Bolhuis and Hailey Bolhuis.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sierra Club (https://act.sierraclub.org) or the National Parks Foundation.
