It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lee Dewayne Spoolstra of Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on March 22, 2026, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Cynthia Spoolstra; his parents, Sierd Spoolstra and Virginia "Mae" Spoolstra; and his brother Kent Spoolstra. He is survived by: his daughters, Shannon Robertson (Mike) and Stacy Spoolstra; his granddaughters, Michelle and Lauren Robertson; and his siblings, Gwen Klamer (Jay), Larry Spoolstra (Myra), Carol Spoolstra-Tesla (Mike), Gregg Spoolstra (Reta), Jill Leslie (Keith) and Jacqie Spoolstra.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Faith Hospice, an organization held dear to the family.
