He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis J. Schaut and Edna M. Schaut (Niquette); his wife Patricia A. Schaut (Simon); his siblings, Patricia, Caroline Jane, Karen Schaut, John, Daniel, Thomas, Philip, William, Richard and L. Robert Schaut; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Jane McMartin, Barbara, Carole Schaut, Charles Snyder and Mike Ott.
He is survived by: his sisters, Mary Snyder, Joy Ott and Dorothy Martin; his sisters-in-law, Marina Schaut and Ellen Schaut; his children, John (Marty), Jim (Maureen), Bill (Linda), Joseph (Sherry), Mary Pestana (Mark), Trish Schaut, Barbara Luyk (Bill) and Laurie Schaut; and his great grandchildren, Maddie, Brady, Noah, Catherine, Jack, Casey, Luna, Luka, Evelyn, Frances, Christian, Ian, Dakota, Briar, Evan and Harrison. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated by The Holy Spirit Educational Foundation or West Catholic Legacy Fund.
