She was predeceased by: her parents, Karl Smith and Donna Smith (Hewitt); her son Jimmy Peak; and her siblings, Michelle Smith, Edward Smith and Douglas Smith.

She is survived by: her husband Dan Heaven of Zeeland; her sons, Lee Peak (Terri) of Grand Rapids and Chris Peak of Hopkins; her stepsons, Matthew Heaven (Angela) of Wyoming and Nathan Heaven (Tammy) of Sparta; and her brother Gerald Smith (Bobbie) of Saranac.
