He was predeceased by: his parents, John Heys and Katherine Heys; and his sister Janice Heys. He is survived by: his wife Gayle; his children, Randy Heys (Lien), Mary Heys and Tom Heys; and his brothers, Dr. Donald Heys (Marie) and Dr. Ronald Heys (Sue). He is also survived by two grandchildren, and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
