He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugenio Otero and Fernanda Otero. He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Cruz (Miguel), Daniel, David Otero, Loyda Medina (Ricky) and Noemi Otero; his grandchildren, Gianna, Michael, Lilianny, Jaysian, Aya, Emmanuel and Moses; and his siblings, Anna Otero, Sonia Otero, Evelyn Otero, Carmen D. Otero, Carmen I. Otero and Miguel A. Otero. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
