It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lydia Dokter of Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on December 5, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her significant other Bernie; her parents, Rev. Herman Moes and Florence Moes (Boersma); her siblings, John Moes, Ted Moes, Marcia Bayens Anema (Moes), Sylvia Van Zee (Moes) and Flossie Bolhuis (Moes); her in-laws, Henry Dokter and Evelyn Blom (Dokter); and her son-in-law Greg Compeau.
She is survived by: her children, Jane Compeau (Dokter), Eric "Ric" Dokter, Margi Dokter (Exoo), Brian Dokter, Caryl Dokter (DeGroot), Joy Dokter, Valerie Pruett (Dokter) and Steve Pruett; her grandchildren, Michael Dokter (Tamara), Jen Voccia (Chris), Derek Dokter (Lisa), Cindy Compeau, Robert Pruett, Rory Pruett, Mickee Dokter, Will Pruett and Jonny Dokter; her great grandchildren, August, Parker, Mathius, Chloe "Clover", Garret, Jaida, Brayden and Miles; her sister Joanne Vander Mey (Moes); and her brothers-in-law, Ed Dokter and Walter Blom. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, she wished donations to be made to Resonate Global Mission.
