She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Schlutt and Millard Schlutt; her husband John E. Leese; and her brother Millard Schlutt (Mim). She is survived by: her children, John M. Leese and Kristin Linkfield; her son-in-law Kent; and her caregivers, Marilyn, John, Peggy, Latonia, Maria, Melanie, Judy, Rachel and Kristina. She is also survived by grandchildren and their spouses.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (2700 Fulton St E, Grand Rapids, MI 49506). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Emmanuel Hospice or VanAndel Institute for Parkinsons Research in honor of her husband John.
