With sadness, we share the passing of Michael Brent Sr. of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Michael, born on September 16, 1949, passed away on August 30, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Brent and Ethel Brent; his siblings, Robert Brent, Timothy Hill Jr., Ella Mayfield, Thelma Attyberry and Pearl Lewis; his aunt Ludie Jackson; his nephew Garret Lance Woods; and his nieces, Linda Mccaleb and Sandra Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Brent; his children, William Brent, Michael Allen Brent Jr., Randy, Jesscia Jamison II, G'quari and Samantha Jamison; his grandchildren, William Ja'olni Brent Jr., Jakeyvia Shakari Brent and Jakyah Denyce Brent; Bishop Dennis J McMurray. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren, nine bonus grandchildren, and 5 great bonus grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Renaissance Church of God in Christ (1001 33rd St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
