Michael S. Ellis Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael S. Ellis (Grand Rapids, Michigan), who passed away on May 29, 2025, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Ellis and Frances Ellis; and his aunt Constance Ellis. He is survived by: his wife Lynette; his aunts, Diana Courie and Carolyn Skaff; his sisters, Katherine Lloyd (Michael), Nancy Kammeraad (David) and Mary Frances Ellis; his children, Michael Ellis, Jr. (Jackie), Matthew Ellis, Elizabeth Rzepka (Adam), Natalie Ellis and Luke Furjanic; his stepsons, Dreyson, Brandon (Mandi), Bryce and Kyler Byker; and his grandchildren, Maddie, Beau Ellis, Charlie, Elliott Rzepka and Sylvia Byker. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church (2250 E Paris Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 6:00 PM and on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. George Orthodox Church in honor of Michael's enduring faith and legacy of service.
