It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Hewitt in Grand Rapids, Michigan, born in Clare, Michigan, who passed away on January 19, 2023, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his husband Charles Hewitt; his parents, Archie Alberts and Mary Alberts; his mother-in-law Ann Hewitt; his brother Ronald Alberts; his nephew Jacob Alberts; and his sister Kay Brown.
He is survived by: his brothers, Bruce Alberts (Catherine), Dennis Alberts (Elaine), Steven Alberts (Lynn), Curtis Alberts (Michele) and Todd Alberts (Teresa); his brother-in-law Dewey Brown; his sisters, Rosemary Outman (Michael) and Connie Steenwyk; his sister-in-law Cindy Alberts; his father-in-law George Hewitt; his brothers-in-law, Jim Hewitt (Brenda), Gary Hewitt and Kirk Hewitt (Mike); and his godson Alex Minthorn. He is also survived by nieces and nephews (54), great-nieces/nephews (60), and even great-great-nieces/nephews (12).
