He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin McCarthy and Joan McCarthy; and his brothers, John McCarthy and Martin McCarthy. He is survived by: his wife Violy McCarthy; his daughter Mackenzy McCarthy; and his siblings, E. Thomas McCarthy (Linda), Mary Veldheer (Jim), Karen Borum (Paul) and Paul McCarthy (Jane). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
