Michael Rau Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Rau (Grand Rapids, Michigan), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 4, 2025 at the age of 61. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Phyllis Rau; his siblings, Steven Rau and Rosemary Rau; and his parents-in-law, Gus and Ramona Streyle.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Rau (Streyle); his children, Nate (Nancy Rau), Ben (Brenda Rau), Taylor (Erin Dykstra), Joel (Larissa Rau), Caleb (Leah Potjer) and Stefan Rau; his father Alvin Rau; his brothers, Jim (Lois Rau), Rev. Ken (Pat Koole) and Dave (Mary Kregel); and his brother-in-law John (LeAnn Streyle). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; and many co-workers and church friends.
