We are sad to announce that, on March 17, 2026, at the age of 80, Michael Wood of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Michael departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Michael may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Michael leaves behind.
He is survived by: his wife Carol; and his children, Michael Wood Jr. (Suzan), Robyn Morse (Mike) and Kristyn Ries (Tony). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to AdvisaCare Home Health Hospice whose care and support allowed Michael to pass peacefully at home.
