Nancy L. Henkel Obituary

We announce the death of Nancy L. Henkel of Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on August 23, 2026, at the age of 77. Nancy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Heitz and Lucille Heitz; her sisters, Jackie Smith, Barbara Runyon and Janet Marie Heitz; her parents-in-law, Carl and Pearl Henkel; and her stepson Kevin Henkel.

She is survived by: her husband Raymond Henkel; her daughters, Carol Sheldon (Steven), Kimberly Lewis (Michael), Julie Robinson and Janet Owens (Paul); her stepchildren, Steven Henkel (Jennifer), Scott Henkel (Deb Alberich), Susan Schmidt (Fred) and Tricia Butler (Nathanial); her stepdaughter-in-law Stacey Henkel; and her siblings, Gerri Henkel, Paul Heitz, Mary Wyrick and Tom Heitz (Pam). She is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.
