It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nankal Darshak (Grand Rapids, Michigan), who passed away on November 12, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Nankal shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Nankal farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She is survived by: her husband Darshak Joseph Toma; her children, Nenfot Toma Darshak, Nenrit Toma Darshak and Darshak Toma Darshak; her parents, Lucas Joseph Garba and Saratu Lucas; her siblings, Nandi Lucas, Solomon Lucas, Grace Yurka, Helen David and Nanpan Lucas; and her mother-in-law Hajaratu Toma. She is also survived by cousins, in-laws, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calvin University Chapel (1845 Knollcrest Circle Southeast, Grand Rapids, MI 49546). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
