He was predeceased by: his parents, Abe Stroo and Hermina Stroo; his sister Virginia Toering; and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Stroo, Ted Toering and Dave Vanderwerf.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Stroo; his children, Kimberly Beyer (Jeff) and Todd Stroo (Michelle); his grandchildren, Bridget Morren (Grant), Toby Beyer, Taylor Carter (Jordan), Kelsie Hopfauf and Lexie Stroo; his great grandchildren, Eloise Carter, Aria Carter and Sadie Morren; and his siblings, Ruth Vanderwerf and Bill Stroo.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans.
