Paul Vander Sloot Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 23, 2025, at the age of 83, Paul Vander Sloot (Grand Rapids, Michigan) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Laurina; and his brothers, Jack and David Vander Sloot. He is survived by: his friend Paul; his children, Paul (Laurie Vander Sloot), Mary Jo Vander West, Karen Vander Sloot and Mark (Michelle Vander Sloot); his grandchildren, Jennifer Scheidel (Tony), Corey Vander Sloot (Melissa), Caleb Vander West (Stephanie), Victoria Fish (Riley), Rebecca, Anna, Stephen (Kristina) and Abigail Vander Sloot; his great grandchildren, Ajay Scheidel (Ally), Halia Scheidel, Letty, Graham Vander Sloot, Bristol Vander West, Easton, Sayler and Ensley Fish; his great great grandchild Amelia; his sister Jane Koomans (John); and his siblings-in-law, Jan Vander Sloot, Marlene Vander Sloot, Pete, Minnie Van Kempen, Johanna, Ben Schipper, Pauline and Dave Wallinga. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Heritage Life Story Funeral Homes (2120 Lake Michigan Dr NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 9:30 AM and at 10:30 AM at the Free Reformed Church (950 Ball Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503).
Memorial contributions are suggested to either Word & Deed or the Redeemer Free Reformed Church Building Fund.
