In loving memory of Phyllis (Balke) Hansen-Schmidt (Grand Rapids, Michigan), who departed this world on June 1, 2025 at the age of 92. Phyllis leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her former husband David Richard Hansen (James R. Schmidt); her parents, Rose Balke and Charles Balke; her in-laws, Helen and David Hansen; her children, Julie Hansen White, Rick and John Hansen; her daughter-in-law Nancy Hastings Hansen; her siblings, Carol Walczewski (Jim) and David J. Balke; her in-law Don Hansen (Patricia); and her grandson Vaughn Hansen.
She is survived by: her children, Denise Duba (Daniel Sr.), Patrick Hansen, Michelle Sulak (Brian), Christy Hansen and Roger White (Helen); her grandchildren, Stephanie Raven (Mike), Brian Hansen (Jen), Dan Jr. Duba (Mindy), Nick Duba (Jennie), Steve Hansen (Erin), Becca Ramirez (Josh), JD Sulak, Sylvia Sulak (Collin Kovach), Audrey Skipp, Emily and Natalie Hansen; and her great grandchildren, Anna, Tony, Xavier, Daniel, Gabe, Luka, Giovanni, Dominic, Hayven, Rylann, Jase, Kaiden, Reese, Rowan, Christopher and Colin.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Arsulowicz Brothers Remembrance Mortuary (3525 Remembrance Rd NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49534).
