With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Phyllis Ricketson (Grand Rapids, Michigan), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Phyllis left this world on August 7, 2025 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Phyllis may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Phyllis touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ethel VanderJagt and Elmo VanderJagt; her brother Douglas VanderJagt; and her former husband Glenn Ricketson. She is survived by: her sister Beverly Burgess; and her children, David Ricketson (Michele), Kimberly Ricketson, Kerri Harris (Paul) and Kristi Gomez (Ruben). She is also survived by six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
