She was predeceased by: her parents, Jeanette Rykse (Steenwyk) and Neil Rykse; her parents-in-law, Joseph and Marie VanderVliet; her brother George Rykse; and her brother-in-law Gordon Arnoys.
She is survived by: her husband Henry VanderVliet; her children, Debra Meindertsma (Richard), Henry VanderVliet (Sandi), Mike VanderVliet (Rhonda) and Jennifer Koning (David); her siblings, Marge Arnoys and John Rykse (Pat); and her siblings-in-law, Kit Rykse, Gary and Marlene Knottnerus.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan.
