He is survived by: his wife Marcia Huizenga; his children, Jason Pater (Kari), Joshua Pater and Rachel Pater (Jess Powers); his grandchildren, Arend, Rowan, Dashiell, Wilhelmina and Holland; his siblings, Adrian Pater (Joy), Tony Pater, Claire Turner (Gary), Casey Pater (Laura) and Margaret Franklin (Mark); and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Pater, Carol Strick (John), Louie Huizenga (Cindy) and Debbie VanTatenhove (Dave). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
