We announce the death of Richard Gilbert Johnson (Grand Rapids, Michigan), who passed away on September 16, 2026, at the age of 96. Richard will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Josephis Williams and Goldie Williams. He is survived by: his siblings, Juanita, Kay, Joe and Pauline; his wife Betty Louise Miller; his children, Dave, Bruce and Brenda (Steve); his grandchildren, Samantha, Mitchell, Jennifer, Ryan, Peter (Nicole), Ashlee (Ian) and Kendra (BJ); and his great grandchildren, Tyler, James, Ian, Cainan and Tate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Hospice of Grand Rapids.
