It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Lee Kanipe of Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on April 27, 2026, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest Kanipe and Doris Kanipe (Sawyer); and his sister Bonnie Stolt. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Kanipe (Kiskie); his daughters, April Everett (Craig) and Bethany Zak (Andrew); his grandchildren, Archer, Iris and Cassius; and his siblings, Terry Kanipe (Beckie), Robin Kanipe (Nancy), Dean Stolt, Mark, Cindy Kiskie and Becky Kiskie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
