He was predeceased by: his wife Alice; and his granddaughter Emily Elizabeth. He is survived by: his son Derek Schroeder (Beth); his grandchildren, Reece and Jesse; and his sister Diane Sedam. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the O'Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Funeral Home (3980 Cascade Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
