He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Slagter and Dorothy Slagter; his siblings, Melvin Slagter, Robert Slagter, Joyce Ostema (Paul), MaryLou TenElshof and Sue Helmum (Curt); his mother-in-law Cora Martin; and his siblings-in-law, Monta Blake, Ken Postma, Howie Jenkins and Erwin Blake.
He is survived by: his wife Pat; his children, Henry Slagter (Christy), Richard Slagter, Bonnie Gerke (Mike), Peggy Johnson (Jack), Dale Slagter (Kathy) and Brenda Shires (Kim); his siblings, Gail Postma, Ellen Jones, Paul Slagter (Mary Jo), Leon Slagter (Sandy), Lola Iacovoni (Tom) and Tim Slagter (Krista); and his siblings-in-law, Jerry TenElshof, Pat Slagter and Marlene Jenkins. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
