He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Wevers (Ben) and Willemina Wevers (Minnie); and his daughter Judy Bode (Dan). He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Wevers (Baas); his children, Jan Wilkins (Dick), June Bloem (Dale) and Jackie Henderson (Jim); his grandchildren, KaraMarie Wilkins Lizewski, Kim Wierenga (Lee), Brian Bode (Jodi), Amanda Bode (Michael Davidson), Jeffrey Bloem (Lauren), Michael Bloem (Melissa), Brooke Para (Natalie) and Brett Henderson (Daniela); and his great grandchildren, Abi Lizewski, Jeremiah Lizewski, Grace Lizewski, Nico Wierenga, Rowan Wierenga, Brayden Bode, Veda Davidson, Bennett Davidson, Eleanor Bloem, Benjamin Bloem, Ezra Bloem and Lyla Henderson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Calvin Church Family Assistance Program, a clothing ministry serving the Grand Rapids area since 1969.
