He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay VanderLaan and Grace VanderLaan (Hill). He is survived by: his wife Audrey J. VanderLaan (Caskey); his children, Myron VanderLaan (Kim), Donna Cass (Dwayne) and Brian VanderLaan; his grandchildren, Derek Cass (Jennifer), Dianna Gordon (Caleb) and Katie VanderLaan; his great grandchildren, Addisyn, Mason, Kensingtyn, Emmersyn, Emmitt and Ellianna; and his sister MaryAnn Babcock.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care (3627 Linden Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49548). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
