He is survived by: his children, Ann Louise Brown (Malcolm), Mary Beth Kim (John), Steven Robert VanderLaan (Karen) and Keith Brian VanderLaan; and his grandchildren, Jennifer (Colin), Johnathan, Matthew, Zachary (Monique), Nicholas and Joshua. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
