He is survived by: his siblings, Bill VanGessel, Eunice VanGessel Mitus, Ed VanGessel, Fran VanGessel and Jerry VanGessel; his grandson Timothy VanGessel Jr.; his brother Tom VanGessel; his wife Norma; and his children, Lynn Kahns (Mark), Barb Meconis (Bill), Tim VanGessel, Chris Botsford (Jon), Tony VanGessel (Lisa) and Michael VanGessel (Gayle). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
