He was predeceased by: his wife Sally; his daughter Diane Kramer; his brothers, Raymond and Donald Kaupa; and his siblings-in-law, Lois Kaupa and Thomas Mettler.
He is survived by: his children, Donald, Cheryl Kaupa, William Prause, Ted and Kathy Kaupa; his son-in-law Steve Kramer; his siblings, Carl Kaupa, Trilby Mettler, John "Butch", KarylLynn Kaupa and Joe Kaupa; and his sisters-in-law, Delores Kaupa and Carole Kaupa. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
