Roger Koenes Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roger Koenes of Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on August 16, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Melissa Vredeveld. He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Jennifer (Dennis Vredeveld), Julie (David Nyenhuis), David (Pamela Koenes) and Sara Koenes; his grandchildren, Nathan Vredeveld (Joanna), Rachel Dougherty (Timothy), Samantha Nyenhuis, Travis Nyenhuis (Alyssa) and Joshua Koenes; his great grandchild Brynlee Pickerd; and his sister-in-law Joanne Spender. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews cousins.
