We announce the death of Ruth Elzinga (Grand Rapids, Michigan), who passed away on July 20, 2026, at the age of 95. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fidel Bell and Hester Bell of Holland, Michigan.; her husband Louis Elzinga; her son-in-law Robert Koerner; her son Brian Elzinga (Bonnie) of Marne; and her sister Barbara Rozema (Chuck).
She is survived by: her children, Sally Jongsma (Calvin) of Sioux Center, IA, Karen Koerner (Robert) of Grandville, Kelvin Elzinga (Beth) of Alto and Douglas Elzinga (Kimberly) of Pagosa Springs, CO; and her grandchildren, Sonya Jongsma Knauss, Jonathon Jongsma (Joanne), Jeremy Jongsma, Kara Cammenga (Todd), Robin Dertien (Jim), Luanne Cammenga (Alex), Dan Koerner (Rhonda), Becca Erdmans (Adam), Heather Lobbezoo (Joel), Jamie Elzinga, David Elzinga (Jaime), Jodi Pym (Shane), Haley Elzinga, Michael Elzinga and Erica Wobma (Ryan). She is also survived by 40 great-grandchildren.
