It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Saramae Vander Ark of Grand Rapids, Michigan, born in Leighton, Iowa, who passed away on August 16, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband Gordon Vander Ark; her children, Kris Timmer (Ed), Steve, Dr. David (Theresa), Jill Martin (David), Heidi Wenke (Jeff) and Arlene De Kraker; her sister Jeanne Ausema; and her sisters-in-law, Shirley Witt and Norma Lubbers. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
