It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Scott Smith of Grand Rapids, Michigan, born in Jackson, Michigan, who passed away on January 7, 2026, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Kathleen; and his grandparents, Paul LaVerne, Eva Christine Kelley (Molden), Claude L. and Mary A. Smith (Ball).
He is survived by: his children, Cohl and James Smith; his father James Smith; his stepmother Judy Smith; and his brothers, Craig (Mindy) and Jeff Smith (Amber). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
