She was predeceased by: her husband Jimmie Allen Beukema. She is survived by: her children, Starr Garter (Larry), Toni Unger (Jim) and Melody Olin (Denny); her granddaughters, Amanda Olin and Samantha Bollinger (Joel); and her great grandchildren, Lidia Olin, Owen Bollinger and Isaac Bollinger. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Covenant Living of the Great Lakes (2510 Lake Michigan Dr NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers and in honor of Shirley, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
