He was predeceased by: his parents, William Adams and Marcia "Jean" Adams Stanton (Dewey); and his stepfather Russell Stanton. He is survived by: his daughters, Olivia Fussman (Kyle) and Alexandria Adams; his brother William "Bill" Adams (Jane); and his nephews, Nick Adams and Eric Adams (Bree Olrich).
Although Stephen's brain injury left him with mild aphasia, he continued doing the things he loved until his memory started to fade following his dementia/Alzheimer's diagnosis in March 2023.
