With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Susan Marie Dixon of Grand Rapids, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Kostin and Julia M. Kostin (McCann); her husband Mark E. Dixon III; her sister Maryann Regan (Kostin); her mother-in-law Letha Batenburg (Parish); and her stepson Mark E. Dixon IV.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel A. Dixon (Paula) and Stacey M. Sheerin (Tim); her stepson Christopher L. Dixon; her daughter-in-law Joann Dixon; her granddaughters, Elizabeth Dixon (Scott Kaminski) and Abbie Dixon; her stepgrandson Aaron DeZwaan; and her brother Michael C. Kostin.
In her honor, the family asks that you consider a donation in her name to the Humane Society of West Michigan—because Susan would much rather help a furry friend than receive a bouquet.
