It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia Jean Bordewyk (Grand Rapids, Michigan), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on August 15, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Gordon; and her grandson William Wiersma. She is survived by: her children, Gordon Jr. (Karen), Laura Wiersma (Thomas) and Jesslyn DeBoer (Walter); and her grandchildren, Rachel Bordewyk, Katie Tompkins, David Bordewyk, Natalie Wiersma, Dennis DeBoer, Philip DeBoer and Marissa Dierlam. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
