He was predeceased by: his wife Frances; his son Thomas M. Apsey; his sisters, Jackie Robertson and Sandra (Roland "Spike" Gallop); and his brothers-in-law, Dick, Tom, Marc Kornoelje and Louis Bellgraph.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel, Beth Apsey, John, Jackie Apsey and Sheri Lehmann; his siblings, Shirley Bellgraph, Donald and Donna Apsey; and his siblings-in-law, Joanne, Dale Larabel, Bob, Sharon Kornoelje, Florence Kornoelje and Juliette Kornoelje. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (4145 Chicago Dr SW, Grandville, MI 49418). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
