Russell of Grand Rapids, Michigan, born in Traverse City, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 9, 2024 at the age of 95. He was predeceased by: his parents, Erma Russell and Howard Russell; his spouse Shirley; and his siblings, Dale, Raymond Russell and Sarah Marquette.
He is survived by: his children, Pamela Brocato (Ben), Reathel Brown, Darel Russell (Julie), Keith Russell and Melani Lawrence (Brian); his grandchildren, Melanie Sullivan (Bob), Nicole Tjarks (Kenton), Jessi Sterk (D. J.), Jillian Kelley (Aaron), Travis Olczak (Breah), Jamee Franklin (Rick), Caitlyn Medina (Jose), Benjamin Brown, Rachel Lawrence and Josh Lawrence; his great grandchildren, Alex, Noah Sullivan, Jacob, Abigail, Hannah Sterk, Nolan, Violet, Connor Tjarks, Isabel, Anabel, Keegan, Oliver Franklin, Jenna and Ellie Kelley; and his sister Anne Yanski. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Spirit Church or the American Legion Post 47.
