He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Klein and Beatrice Klein; and his brother Norman Klein. He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, Jeffery, Kathryn, Laura McCray (Kevin) and Thomas Eric (Stephanie); and his grandchildren, Robbie Estes, Sophia Hufford (Ryan), Thomas (Alex), Ryan, Tyler Klein, Killian McCray and Jaden McCray. He is also survived by nephew and niece.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to Frederik Meijer Garden & Sculpture Park and the Humane Society of West Michigan, Grand Rapids.
