He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Benedict and Marge Benedict; his brother Jack Benedict; his in-laws, Jack and Lois Hoath; his brothers-in-law, Roger Stanley and Jackie Hoath; and his niece Sarah Stanley.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his sisters, Rosemary DeJonge (Ron) and Joyce Graham (Bob); and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Hoath, Susie Schlehuber (Roger) and Tim Hoath (Linda). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
